Running a venue like Sk8house comes with some big behind-the-scenes costs — especially insurance, building lease expenses and the continuing rise in operational costs. To keep delivering a safe, fun, and affordable place for our community to skate, we’ve had to make some adjustments to our pricing – effective Monday Dec 1st 2025.
We also want to share a little more about why we’re encouraging everyone to book online.
Why Online Bookings Matter
While we’ve never insisted on online bookings for sessions or classes, it has become increasingly difficult to plan staffing levels, manage the flow of guests, and deliver the best possible experience when large numbers arrive without pre-booking.
Online bookings help us:
- Plan appropriate staffing, keeping everyone safe
- Streamline entry, reducing queues and wait times
- Ensure compliance with digital waivers completed ahead of time
- Improve your overall experience at the rink
No Change to Term-Time Prices When You Book Online
We understand that not everyone plans ahead — and that’s okay.
But when you do book online, we want to reassure you that the prices you’re currently paying during our School Term structure will not be increasing.
However, if you prefer to “just turn up” without booking, please be aware that there is now a substantial price difference at the door. This helps us responsibly manage staffing, safety, and capacity while rewarding customers who take a moment to pre-book.
Our aim isn’t to penalise anyone, but to keep the experience fun, safe, and efficient for everyone who visits Sk8house.
Class Pass Holders
Class Pass holders must now pre-book classes online.
It’s quick and free — but if you arrive without booking, the door price will apply.
