WE HAD A DREAM... SK8HOUSE 6 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

In August 2015 we were eager to give everyone that walked into our rink a unique experience. We wanted it to be a home away from home and a place where everyone associated the name SK8HOUSE with words such as family, fun and friendships. A place where kids and adults alike could have great family friendly fun - skating, birthday parties and skate lessons as well as make lifelong friends and build confidence as part of our Sk8house Clubs - Speed, Figure Skating and also South Sea Roller Derby.

We had never imagined the friends we would make and the people that would just come and generously give their time, whether it be to be behind the boot counter; clean the floor; hop into the cafe when we were busy or help out with a skate class .. it is time that we could never repay.

We could also have never imagined in August 2015, that our six year anniversary would be spent overlooking an empty rink. The sounds of laughter of children and adults, music and the dulcet tones of our DJs not to be heard. Covid shutdowns over the last 18 months have been incredibly tough.. the toughest that us along with many other businesses have ever had to face.

However, we have a lot to be grateful for and wanted to thank each and every one of you for the support you have given us over the years. From its remarkable transformations to the amazing SK8HOUSE team and growth with all of the clubs, we couldn't be more proud of what we have created and excited about the future.
